History

GTI is the result obtained from the firms Alexander Grant, today known as Grant Thornton LLP (USA), and Thornton Baker, today known as Grant Thornton U.K.  The firms’ origins date from the years 1924 and 1873 respectively.

In 1998, the International Policy Board (IPB) approved a strategic global plan for the “internationalization” of Grant Thornton network. This idea created the qualification of International Business Center- IBC and 24 financial centers of renowned professional reliability were selected.  Their individual mission, and also as an international group, of providing an alliance and a compromise of internal quality service.  It improves and increases the international services, and positions Grant Thornton global capacity in the organizational culture of each of its partners.
